Disney & Universal Parks Guide

Updated June 2026

Four Disney parks in Orlando, two in Anaheim, and Universal Orlando next door — here's how to plan which park on which day, and what to ride first.

ORLANDO — WALT DISNEY WORLD

Magic Kingdom

The Original, Still the Busiest

Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and the nightly fireworks make this the most crowded of the four parks. Arrive at rope drop or plan a Lightning Lane for the headliners.

EPCOT

World Showcase & Thrill Rides

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track anchor Future World, while the World Showcase's eleven country pavilions make this the best park for adult travelers and food-and-wine lovers.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run headline this park, alongside Toy Story Land and the Tower of Terror. Book Rise of the Resistance via Lightning Lane the moment your window opens.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Pandora & Real Safari

Avatar Flight of Passage is consistently the hardest-to-book ride in all of Walt Disney World. The Kilimanjaro Safaris ride is best done early morning when the animals are most active.

Universal Orlando

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Two parks — Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure — connected by the Hogwarts Express, which requires a park-to-park ticket to ride. Velocicoaster and the Wizarding World are the must-dos.

ANAHEIM — DISNEYLAND RESORT

Disneyland Park

Where It All Began

The original 1955 park, still centered on Sleeping Beauty Castle. Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance are the headline attractions.

Disney California Adventure

Radiator Springs & the Pier

Radiator Springs Racers, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, and Pixar Pier headline this park, along with World of Color at night on Paradise Bay.

LIGHTNING LANE & GENIE+

Both Disney resorts use a paid skip-the-line system layered on top of standard standby queues. Individual Lightning Lane purchases for the newest headliner rides (Rise of the Resistance, Cosmic Rewind, Radiator Springs Racers) sell out within minutes of park opening on busy days — buy the moment the park's booking window opens, typically at 7am for on-site resort guests.
