Things To Do Off-Park

Not every day needs to be a park day. Here's how to fill a day off in Orlando and Anaheim.

ORLANDO OFF-PARK DAYS

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach

Water Parks

Disney's two water parks rotate seasonal closures, so check operating calendars before you plan around one. Both are included on some multi-day ticket add-ons.

ESPN Wide World of Sports & Disney Springs mini golf

Lower-Key Options

Fantasia Gardens and Winter Summerland mini golf courses near Disney's Hollywood Studios are a relaxed, budget-friendly half-day for families with younger kids.

ANAHEIM OFF-PARK DAYS

Downtown Disney & the Anaheim GardenWalk

Shopping & Dining Days

A short rideshare from either resort area, the Anaheim GardenWalk offers dining and entertainment options beyond the Disney property itself.

Huntington Beach & Newport Beach

A Beach Day

Both are roughly a 30–40 minute drive from the Disneyland Resort — a popular way to break up a multi-day park trip with something completely different.

RESORT POOLS WORTH A DAY

On-property resort pools are open to registered guests even on non-park days. Disney's Grand Floridian and Grand Californian both have quieter, more adult-oriented pool areas, while Cabana Bay's dual pools and lazy river skew toward families with kids.
